Athletic Republic Partners with ASU Men’s Hockey

Athletic Republic, the Official Off-Ice Training Center for ASU Men’s Hockey.

Athletic Republic is proud to welcome the Sun Devils Men’s Hockey Team into their cutting edge training facility. With the recent installment of Arizona’s 1^st and only Hockey Treadmill, the technology and science based approach is sure to give the Sun Devils a competitive edge in their coming season.

"We are thrilled to have partnered with Athletic Republic as the Official Training Center of ASU Hockey.  I know the results that this type of hockey specific training will give our program and feel it will give us a sizeable competitive edge over our competition.  The staff at Athletic Republic is professional and knowledgeable about everything related to their craft.  We are excited to get going and can't wait to see the results on the ice," said Greg Powers, Head Coach of ASU Men’s Hockey.

Arizona State University, finished last season ranked 8th in the nation for Division 1 ACHA hockey teams and is aiming to becoming one of the perennially top programs in the country. With that goal in mind ASU will now use Athletic Republic as their official training center. While some team members will spend the summer training at Athletic Republic, the team will officially begin mandatory workouts at Athletic Republic beginning in September with a NHL style combine testing event and will continue with Hockey Treadmill, Plyometric, Skill Development and Strength workouts throughout the 2010-2011 season. 

"We are very excited to be the official training center for ASU Hockey, this is a great opportunity to help these players reach their goal of a National Championship and will give them an opportunity to develop as both individual players as well as a team on the ice. Our program is continually used by some of the top college programs in the country such as the University of Minnesota and Cornell University and to be able to give these players the same high quality of training that those schools provide for their players is an enormous step for ASU hockey and for the development of hockey here in the valley," said Noah Katz, Director of Hockey, Athletic Republic Scottsdale/Tempe.
